About Jensy

Welcome to Born to be a Bride! This blog started as a means of documenting my own bridal journey after getting engaged in July of 2012. Our beautiful wedding took place on September 7 2013, but I caught the bug and had to keep blogging. Of the many things I’ve learned along the way, the importance of following your passion is paramount.

I grew up on Long Island, graduated from Middlebury College with a degree in English, and have done everything from sell shoes to run red carpet events in my adult years. Today, I’m a full-time writer and part-time yogi with a love of all things sparkly. My handsome husband and I welcomed our first child this past fall, a baby girl we call Willow Primrose.

Also, I’m sort of writing a book.

I adore hearing from you! Email me beauty/fashion questions, bridal musings, wedding photos, mommy meltdowns, story ideas, and advertising inquiries: jenny @ born to be a bride [dot] com

xx Jensy

  1. Hi there!

Just say your piece “They Should’ve Warned Me” on the Huffington Post – loved it! I was wondering whether I’d be able to reblog it? I’m the editor of a website section called Family Edge and would love to share this article. Of course, we would link back to your website and include a line or two about you :)

    Hope to hear back soon!

  2. Hi,
I also read your piece “They Should’ve Warned Me” on the Huffington Post and loved it! When my son was born, my husband and I decided that it would be best for me to exit the work field for a while to care for him during the first years of his life. There’s been amazing times, but lately it’s been rough. It’s good to have that reminder of what it’s all about. It is fleeting. And you’re right – crying out of happiness IS a real thing – and I almost forgot about that. Thanks for reminding me!
