It’s been a pretty crazy few months around here, trying to get things ready for the baby while also soaking up all the Willow time I can and tying up loose ends on the work front. As we approach the two-week mark on welcoming Baby Girl #2, there are some last-minute items we are excited to grab for her.
I recently discovered a website called Baby Cubby, which features an expertly curated assortment of gifts and essentials for Baby. Shopping their selections isn’t just easy, it’s fun. The website has a clean layout and a wide variety with something for everyone. Here’s what I’m loving for babes coming this summer and into fall:
Baby Gown / Sleep Sack
This precious new-baby gown from Lulu and Roo doubles as a cozy sleep sack so you don’t need to worry about blankets. Lightweight, super-soft, and just plain adorable with the stripe motif and contrast cuffs, we are definitely going to scoop one of these beauties up for Baby Girl. $30.
Expecting? Trust me when I say that a postpartum girdle or belly wrap is the best thing you can treat yourself to during this special time. I wore my Belly Bandit for 8 weeks after giving birth to Willow and was back in my jeans with a nearly flat stomach after only 6. Do it! $49.95.
When I became a mom, I was determined not to let baby necessities ruin the aesthetic of our home. It took some finesse, but I got there. Any play mat or activity center that fits our modern boho vibe is something I covet. This round one from Grounded Company is perfect. Going on my wish list immediately! $68
In all our fun prepping for baby girl, we can’t forget Willow! I have my hospital bag packed with lots of pretty treats so that when she comes to visit, her new sibling can gift her something special. These hair pins by Meri Meri are so fun and pretty — plus, they’re great for back-to-school. $7 for three.
Babywearing is one of my favorite things, and I’m so excited to have a fresh new squish I can hold close to my heart. We have an assortment of structured carriers and ring slings from Willow’s early days, but I’m looking forward to trying out a wrap like this one on the warm summer and early-fall days to come. $55
What Makes the Baby Cubby Different
As a young mom who spends a lot of time on social media and chatting with fellow parents, I can tell you that I come across a lot of shopping opportunities for the little ones. What I like about Baby Cubby is that the company is run and executed by other parents who choose products to help ease the transition into parenthood as well as from one stage to the next.
The Baby Cubby team wants your shopping and user experience to be seamless; that’s why they test strollers and other items themselves to ensure quality. They also price match (even with Amazon!) and offer free shipping. Have a parenting question? Reach out on social media or within their community blog to discuss.
You can learn more about this incredible company in their about section — and in the meantime, have fun shopping. Let me know what you got for baby … or for yourself!
